Pop-up park Union Square has just got even better with the introduction of a free food delivery service direct to the Square.
Nestled between Ascot Vale Library and The Vale on St Leonards Road, Union Square is the first dedicated green space for the street with plenty of seating. It’s an easy way for people to sit and congregate on Union Road.
Why a free food delivery service?
Union Road Traders Association President Maria Iatrou said the food delivery service was a great way for people to soak up the village atmosphere while sampling some of the area’s best food.
“We know our community values sustainability so we thought what better way to honour that, and our traders, with a free bike delivery service.
How it works
“All you have to do is scan the QR code on the tables, which will take you to a list of food options along our street. Place your order and our bike delivery service will bring it to you at no charge.

“We’re encouraging everyone to come to Union Square with friends, use the amenities, let your kids play, and let us do the legwork bringing you lunch.”
The bike delivery service, operated by local Union Road bike business Melbourne Powered, has begun operating every day over the lunchtime period from 11am – 3pm.
